This sacred ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Jeanine Rishel at the United Methodist Church in Larned. The bride, escorted by her father, wore a mocha duchesse satin gown. The strapless bodice featured a beaded organza overlay and a lace-up back. The wide ball-gown skirt was pleated, finishing in a cathedral-length train. Stacy Trout, sister of the bride, of Albuquerque, N.M., was the matron of honor, while the late Troy Derley, brother of the groom, was the honorary best man. Other attendants included Kelsey Zook, cousin of the bride of Larned; Holly Zook, cousin of the bride of Kansas City, Kan.; Jacqueline Zook, cousin of the bride, of Lawrence; and Ronda Scantlin, sister of the groom, of Dayton, Ohio. They wore black chiffon strapless A-line dresses fashioned by Margaret Linderer with a long chiffon sash tied across the bodice back and gold beading accented the front bodice. The matron of honor’s dress was more elaborate. Groomsmen included Jesse Tucker of Gove; Ward Scantlin, brother-in-law of the groom, of Dayton; Michael Trout, brother-in-law of the bride, of Albuquerque; and Aaron Zook, cousin of the bride, of Kansas City, Kan. Deanne Zook, cousin of the bride, of Lawrence, and Brooke Schultz, cousin of the groom, of Haviland, were the candle lighters. The ushers included Lincoln and Whitney Tucker of Gove; and Camron Erway and Denny Zook, cousins of the bride, of Larned. Alyssa and Morgan Derley, nieces of the groom of Kansas City, Kan., were the flower girls. Their dresses, fashioned by Margaret Linderer, were of mocha satin, matching the bridal gown. They were trimmed with the same beaded organza with bow-tied shoulder straps and satin buttons down the back. The musicians for the ceremony were vocalists Arnita Schultz, aunt of the groom, of Haviland; Tom Rishel, cousin of the bride, of Garden City; and organist, Lorna Singer of Larned. The groom is assistant manager at Seaboard Feed Mills in Leoti and the bride drives back and forth to Larned to help on the family farm.
