AJ McNett and Jacob Chrest both of Great Bend were united in marriage Nov. 12, 2005 in a outdoor ceremony east of Great Bend. The Rev. Mark Pennington officiated the double-ring ceremony. Parents of the coupe are Fred McNett and Kathy Melder-McNett of Great Bend, Ron and Charlotte Chrest of Great Bend and the late Susan Chrest. Dycie Peschka of Great Bend was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Schiller, Jennifer Lang and Sabrina Sloan all of Great Bend. Best man was Billy Sanders of Great Bend. Groomsmen were Tyler Smith and Charley Fritz both of Great Bend and Travis Urban of Hoisington. Ushers were Silas McNett and Joe Peschka both of Great Bend, Sean Hughes of Hoisington and Mike Buehler of Walker, Mo. The bride wore a Maggie Sottero Riley gown. It was a strapless one-piece A-line gown featuring an asymmetrical front overlay, embellished with Swarovski crystals, seed beads and pearls, with a train length of 74 inches from the waist. The bride’s bouquet was made of red and yellow roses accented with white Easter lilies and pearls.
