Ruth Moore and John Wetig Jr. were united in marriage on Aug. 2, 2008 at their home in Atchison in a ceremony officiated by the Rev. Stephen Lucas of Faith Bible Fellowship of Atchison. Parents of the couple are Terrance and Karen Moore of Rushville and John and Nancy Wetig of Great Bend.
Given in marriage by her three sons, Austen Hall, Daniel Lentz and Tristan Lentz, the bride wore a white, off-the-shoulder, floor-length gown and carried a bouquet of wildflowers.
Maid of honor was Tamera Kelley of Atchison. Bridesmaids were Kristi Hager of Atchison and Joy Wetig of Great Bend.
Best man was Jamie Wetig of Atchison. Groomsmen were Charlie Johnson of Beeler and Greg Wells of Great Bend.
Flower girl was Naomi Bennett of Atchison. Ring bearer was Broc Reed of Great Bend.
Ushers were Kevin Hager and Heath Umphenour, both of Atchison.
The bride is a 1992 graduate of Atchison High School and a graduate of a year in accounting from NEKA Vocational School in Atchison. She is employed by Ferrellgas as a customer service specialist.
The groom is a 1991 graduate of Ness City High School and a 1996 graduate of Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. He is employed by USD 377 at Atchison County Community High School as the head boys basketball coach, head boys and girls track coach, assistant football coach and grades nine through 12 physical education teacher.
The couple reside in Atchison.
