Cynthia LaFave Nall and Chris Alan Smolik were united in marriage on July 22, 2008 at the Barton County Courthouse in a double-ring ceremony officiated by Chief Judge Mike Keeley.

The bride is the daughter of Donnie Council of Albany, Ga., and Alice Council of Great Bend. The groom is the son of Tom Smolik of Great Bend and Sherry Smolik of Heizer.

Witnesses were Larry Smolik and Anthony Lopez, both of Great Bend.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Great Bend High School. She earned her Certified Nurse Aid certificate in 2002. She is employed at Walgreen’s in Great Bend.

The groom earned his G.E.D at Kingwood College in Houston, Texas. He has degrees in painting and welding. He is self-employed.

The couple reside in Heizer.
