Brooke Gates and Matthew Mingenback were united in marriage on April 19, 2008 in a double-ring ceremony at Moon Palace Golf and Spa Resort in Cancun, Mexico.
Parents of the couple are Wendy Gates and Mark and Leslie Mingenback, all of Great Bend. Grandmothers of the couple are Lillian Gates and Arlene Mingenback, both of Great Bend.
The bride wore an elegant ivory strapless taffeta gown with a corset back. The ruched bodice was adorned with lace and Swarovski crystals and accented by a drop-waist, fitted silhouette with a flared skirt. She wore an ivory veil and carried a bouquet of ivory peonies, roses and orchards.
Maid of honor was Julie Heidrick of Great Bend. Bridesmaids were Melissa Gaunt, Sarah Call, Tina Mingenback, sister-in-law of the groom, all of Great Bend; Erica Martin of Oberlin; and Jackie Gorman of Dodge City.
They wore silk, strapless tea-length dresses in powder blue.
Best man was Andrew Mingenback, brother of the groom, of Great Bend.
Groomsmen were Mike Wilson and Jack Wilson, both of Salina, Shawn Cross and Patrick Keenan, both of Great Bend.
Flower girls were Alyvia Mingenback, niece of the groom, and Addison Westhoff.
Vocalist was Alicia Westhoff of Great Bend.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in biology.
She is employed as a physician assistant in Dallas, Texas.
The groom is a 2005 graduate of Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in public relations.
He is employed by MHA Group in Dallas.
The couple reside in Dallas.
