Norma Nolte and Curtis Butler, both of Great Bend, were united in marriage on May 3, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Ellinwood.
Parents of the bride are the late Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Nolte of Hudson.
Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Butler of Great Bend and Mrs. Ruth Dyson of Wichita.
Pastor David Wesner of the First Baptist Church of Ellinwood officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride’s great nephew, Andrew Maier, of Claflin, escorted her down the aisle.
The bride wore a pale mint green, two-piece suit fashioned of polyester shantung in a street- length design.
The narrow-notch collared jacket was edged in delicate seed beads and silver crystals, which followed the buttons down the front and a pencil-slim skirt completed her ensemble.
The bride carried a bouquet of spring flowers, consisting of white daisies, white lilies, pink roses and yellow mums.
Matron of honor was Nadine Maier, sister of the bride, of Great Bend.
Best man was Mark Blackwell of Great Bend.
Ushers were Rodney Maier, nephew of bride, of Claflin; Larry Christenson, cousin of the bride of Hudson; and Brent Phillips son-in-law of the groom, of Westminster Colo.
Ringbearer was Christian Butler-Francis, grandson of the groom, of Manhattan.
Pianist was Melanie Mosier and soloists were Claudia Wesner and LaDonna Widener.
The bride is employed at USD 428.
The groom is employed at the Barton County Clerk’s office.
The couple reside in Great Bend.
