DeAnn Mitchell and Christopher Kuhn were united in marriage on Oct. 27, 2007, at St. Rose Catholic Church in Great Bend in a double-ring ceremony, officiated by Father Reginald A. Urban. Parents of the couple are Donald and Debra Mitchell of Hoisington and Brad and Janet Kuhn of Great Bend. Grandparents of the bride are John and Lois Mitchell of Great Bend and John and Mildred Hein of Wichita. Grandparents of the groom are Clint and Lee Kuhn and Betty Lawson, all of Great Bend and the late Jimmy Lawson.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless diamond-white gown designed by Maggie Sottero.
Matron of honor was Stephanie Hindman of Overland Park. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Leiker, Rachelle Hazlett, Lori Mitchell and Amy Haines, all of Great Bend. They wore sleeveless burnt-orange gowns.
Best man was John Drake of the Kansas City area. Groomsmen were Brendan Kuhn, brother of the groom, stationed in Fort Hood, Texas; Dusty Pfannenstiel of Lincoln, Neb.; and Clay Delaney and Ryan Hickel, both of Great Bend.
Ushers were John Mitchell of Great Bend, Jared Mitchell and Dominic Mitchell, both of Hoisington.
Flower girl was Brooke Hazlett of Great Bend. Ringbearer was Mikey Weigel of Overland Park.
Organist was Joyce Haberman of Great Bend and vocalist was Alicia Eickhoff of Wichita. Candlelighters were Cameron Mitchell of Hoisington and Kimberly Slater of Great Bend.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Great Bend High School. She is employed at Dillons in Great Bend as a scanning manager.
The groom is a 1999 graduate of Great Bend High School. He graduated from Barton County Community College with an associate’s degree in science. He is employed by Farmers Bank in Great Bend.
The couple reside in Great Bend.
