Shelly M. Dalton of Great Bend and Paul M. Burhenn, also of Great Bend, were united in marriage May 1, 2004 in a double-ring ceremony at First Christian Church of Great Bend with the Rev. Bill Johnson officiating.
Parents of the couple are Elke Andrasek of Great Bend and the late Joe Andrasek, and Virgil and Beverly Burhenn, also of Great Bend.
The bride wore an ivory and wine princess-cut gown with a flipped tip of the shoulder neckline, wine and ivory scattered beadwork throughout the dress.
The front bodice was decorated with beadwork and the back bow led in to flipped tails and a beaded semi-cathedral train.
Her head was adorned with a flowered comb with an attached finger-tipped veil and she carried a cascading flower bouquet of burgundy and ivory roses.
Matron of honor was Darla Shuey of Great Bend.
Bridesmaid was Shelby Dalton, daughter of the bride, of Great Bend.
They wore floorlength burgundy and ivory satin princess line gowns with crystal beaded accents at the neckline, spaghetti straps, satin-covered buttons at the waist and a two-tone satin shawl and carried an arm bouquet of burgundy and ivory roses.
Best man was Richard Immediato.
Groomsman was Joe Shuey.
Ushers were Chris Immediato and Jake Fanshier.
Flowergirl was Cassidy Dewberry.
Ringbearer was Brock Lawrence, son of the groom.
Vocalists were Lew Rayburn and Walt Pennington of Great Bend.
The bride is a former employee of USD 428.
The groom is a self-employed farmer and also works for Schneider Alfalfa Farms.
The couple resides in Great Bend.
