Katie Mae DeWerff of Ellinwood and Joseph S. Cotten Jr. of Hoisington, were united in marriage on Dec. 28, 2007, at the Church of the Nazarene in Hoisington.
Parents of the couple are Jeff and Sherry DeWerff of Ellinwood and Joe and Ginger Cotten of Hoisington.
Grandparents of the bride are Bessie Mae DeWerff of Ellinwood and the late Kenneth DeWerff, Max Lee Folk of Holyrood, Beverly Jewell of Ellsworth and the late Jim Jewell.
Grandparents of the groom are Leo and Loretta Baum and Wilbur Cotten, all of Hoisington and the late Joyce Cotten.
Ceremony officiant was Joe Cotten, father of the groom.
Bridesmaids were Sarah Simic and Rebekah Cotten, sisters of the groom.
Junior bridesmaid was Bailey Baird of Ellinwood.
Groomsmen were Micah Cotten, brother of the groom, Milan Simic, brother-in-law of the groom, and Blake DeWerff, brother of the bride.
Ushers were Zach Baird, Tyler Burt and Tim Ohlde.
The bride will graduate from Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary social science in May.
The groom will graduate from Fort Hays State University with a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership in May.
The couple reside in Manhattan.
