Jessica Elaine Case and John J. Schenkel III were united in marriage on Feb. 16, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church in Emporia in a ceremony officiated by the Rev. Nancy Gammill.

Parents of the couple are Gary and Janet Case of Emporia and Steven Schenkel of Great Bend and Janet Lewis of Jacksonville, Ark.
The maid of honor was Andrea Lemon and the bridesmaid was Melanie Yokum
The best man was C.J. Donner and the groomsman was Austin Case, brother of the bride.
Ushers were Rob Grizzle, brother of the groom, Keith Case, cousin of the bride, and Jeff Myers.
The bride is a graduate of Flint Hills Technical College for Dental Assisting.
She is attending Butler County Community College.
She is employed as a dental assistant for Dr. McMurray in New Strawn.
The groom is a graduate of Great Bend High School.
He is employed by Norfolk Iron and Metal in Emporia.
