Amy Alayne Harris and Jeremy Ward Aber were united in marriage on Oct. 6, 2007 at the First Presbyterian Church in Emporia, with the Rev. Mike Soresen officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Paul and Sue Schuster of Larned and Mr. Olin E. Harris of Goessel.
The groom is the son of Drs. James and Susan Aber of Emporia.
Grandparents of the couple are Mrs. Doris Lilly of Ottawa, Mrs. Lila Harris of Goessel, Mrs. Marian Ward of Halstead and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Aber of Kansas City, Mo.
The bride wore a floor-length antique ivory gown designed by Oleg Cassini, with pickup skirt and contrasting satin sash. The fingertip veil was of matching flower design. The bride and maid of honor carried bouquets of long-stem copper- and ivory-colored roses. Music was provided by Diane McCartey.
Maid of honor was Emily Schuster, sister of the bride.
Best man was Jay Aber, brother of the groom.
The bride is a graduate of Emporia State University and is pursuing a master's degree in English literature at Kansas State University. She is employed at the Manhattan Crisis Center.
The groom is a graduate of Emporia State University with a master's degree in geology.
He is pursuing a doctorate degree in geo-spatial analysis at Kansas State University, where he is employed as a graduate assistant.
The couple reside in Manhattan.
