Linda Dueser and Harlen Jerke exchanged wedding vows in a double-ring ceremony on Dec. 29, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church in Great Bend.
Officiating the ceremony were the Rev. Gary Brooks and the Rev. Jim Strasen.
The bride was escorted by her nephew, Andrew Debes of Wichita.
Ushers were sons of the bridegroom, Travis Jerke of Bloomington, Ind., and Chad Jerke and Eric Jerke, both of Great Bend.
Musicians for the ceremony were Nina Jerke, vocalist, Eric Jerke, pianist, and Brad Shirer, organist.
Candlelighters were grandchildren of the bridegroom, Alyssa, Cassidy and Meghan Jerke of Bloomington, Ind., and Kaitlyn, Max, Zoe, Noah, Rylee and Grace Jerke, all of Great Bend.
The wedding was followed by a luncheon/reception in the church fellowship hall.
Reception assistants were Janice Lubeck and Reta Wynne of Great Bend and Marcia Sauber of Ellinwood.
The bride, formerly of El Dorado and Ellinwood, has lived in Great Bend since 1972 and is employed as a communications specialist at Barton County Community College.
The groom is originally from the Tripp and Scotland, S.D., area and has lived in Great Bend since 1973.
He is retired after 32 years as a financial associate with Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
