Danielle Jessalynn Bitter of Hoisington and Bradley Michael Johnson of Claflin were united in marriage on Aug. 11, 2006 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Hoisington. Parents of the couple are Bruce and Carrie Bitter of Hoisington and Howard and Carmen Johnson of Claflin. The Rev. Don Fisher officiated the double-ring ceremony. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an elegant white, matte-satin bridal gown styled in a princess silhouette and featuring an asymmetrical waist detail, all fully embellished in delicately beaded embroidery. The full, ballroom skirt swept into its own chapel train accented by delicately beaded embroidery detail. She wore a tiara and carried blue and baby pink roses. Maid of honor was Emily Hordijk of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Bridesmaids were Sarah Ritter and Brittani Nettleingham, both of Hoisington, and Monica Davis of Wichita. Junior bridesmaid was Kayleigh Bitter, sister of the bride of Hoisington. Best man was Bradon Bitter, brother of the bride, of Hoisington. Groomsmen were Carlos Aguirre of Venezuela, Brock Tucker of Omaha, Neb., and Keith Pfannenstiel of Ness City. Junior groomsman was Brandon Beck of Hays. Flower girl was Kyla Jantz, and ring bearer was Erik Jantz, both cousins of the bride, of Newton. Ushers were Sheldon Jantz of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Andy Beck of Hays. Candle lighters were Juli Bitter of Hoisington and Jamie Hatfield of Great Bend, both cousins of the bride. Guest book attendants were Desmond and Brinttain Noah, cousins of the bride, both of Hoisington. Program attendants were Nathan Bitter of Great Bend and Christopher Bitter of Victoria, both cousins of the bride. Gift attendant was Morgan Choitz of Great Bend and cousin of the bride. Organist was Paula Beck, aunt of the groom. The bride is a 2005 graduate of Hoisington High School. She is a full-time student at Emporia State University, working on her bachelor’s degree in psychology. She will then attend Kansas University to pursue a doctorate degree in psychology. The groom is a 2005 graduate of Claflin High School. He is a full-time student at ESU, working on pre-physical therapy program. He will then attend Kansas University to pursue a doctorate degree. The couple reside in Emporia.
