Megan Panning and Jason Wondra were united in marriage on Sept. 30, 2006 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ellinwood, with the Rev. Merlyn Lohrke officiating. Parents of the couple are Terry and Desa Panning and Vernon and Nancy Wondra. The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose an elegant ivory, matte-satin gown styled in a strapless Basquewaist design, featuring a midriff detail of champagne matte satin and ivory beaded lace. The full ballroom skirt swept into its own extended chapel train and was accented by a wide border of champagne matte satin and matching ivory lace all around the skirt and train. Her fingertip ivory bridal illusion veil was edged in crystal seed beads matching her gown and fell from a crystal and rhinestone tiara. Matron of honor was Amy Patman of Hoxie. Bridesmaids were Jessica Eggers of Olathe, Tammy Dauber of Ellinwood, Kyle Mitchum and Lisa Koelsch, both of Great Bend, and Stacy Bownes of Holcomb. Best man was Todd Wondra of Great Bend. Groomsmen were Doug Steinbacher of Olathe, Jason Prilling of Phoenix, Ariz., Jeff Prilling and Shawn Ybarra, both of Great Bend, and Brian Schriner of Wichita. Ushers were Ryan Panning of Ellinwood, Billy Koelsch of Great Bend and Jason Burhenn of Wichita. The bride graduated from Ellinwood High School in 1999. She is employed by Central Kansas Orthopedic Group as a file clerk/secretary. The groom graduated from Great Bend High School in 1996. He is employed by Jimlo Glass as a glazier. The couple reside in Great Bend.
