Lacey Dawn Morse and Kevin Lamar Volavka were married on Oct. 21, 2006 at Pratt Friends Church in Pratt. Judge Robert Schmisseur of Pratt officiated. The bride is the daughter of Scott and Tami Morse of Pratt. She is the granddaughter of Dale Lathrop and the late Ed and Jo Morse and Audrey Lathrop. The groom is the son of Mike and Debbie Volavka of Caldwell. He is the grandson of Barbara and Joe Wright of Anthony and Bob and Judy Siemsen of Holyrood. The bride wore a white satin A-line gown with a gold and white beaded lace overlay. The bridesmaids were dressed in spaghetti-strapped, blue satin, princess-style dresses with a blue sheer overlay from the bodice down. Matron of honor was Jo Ann Cook, sister of the groom, of Westminster, Colo. Bridesmaids were Patti Black, Amber Henderson, cousin of the bride, and Sarah Morse, sister-in-law of the bride. Flower girls were Summer Dipman and Sedonah Schad, cousin of the groom. The groom was dressed in a black western suit, white shirt, blue tie, and black boots. The groomsmen wore black western suits, blue shirts, silver ties and black boots. The best man was Rodney Doll of Conway Springs. Groomsmen were Grant Winter, Lyle Volavka, brother of the groom, and Gabe Morse, brother of the bride. The ring bearer was Teagon Nienke, cousin of the groom. Ushers were Tim Cook, brother-in–law of the groom, and Jeremy Morse, cousin of the bride. Candle lighters were Ethan Henderson and Matthew Lathrop, both cousins of the bride. Vocalist was Lonna Henderson, aunt of the bride. The bride is a 2003 graduate of Pratt High School and a 2006 graduate of Pratt Community College. She is attending Butler Community College, working towards her certificate in stenography. The groom is a 2001 graduate of Argonia High School, a 2003 graduate of the Pratt Community College, and a 2005 graduate of Fort Hays State University. He is employed with Case New Holland in Wichita as a test engineer. The couple now reside in Rose Hill.
