Kari Krier and Gary Nap were united in marriage on Aug. 12, 2006 at St. Isidore’s Catholic Church in Manhattan. The Rev. Keith Weber officiated the ceremony. Parents of the couple are Kirby and Kathy Krier of Claflin and Patty Nap of Raymore, Mo., and the late Randy Nap. Grandparents are Marjorie Lang of Hoisington, Harold Musselman of Raymore and Dorothy Nap of Kansas City, Mo. The bride wore a strapless diamond white gown by Maggie Sotero with a champagne sheer overlay, embellished with crystals and pearls. Her fingertip-length veil was attached to a tiara of crystals and pearls. She carried a cascade of hot pink roses, hydrangeas, orchids and stephanotis and alstromeria lilies. Maid of honor was Kelli Krier of Manhattan, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Beka Weber of Kansas City, Elisha Beck of Hays, Trina Campbell of Redmond, Wash., Nasrina Evenstar of Lawrence and Julie Kirmer of Manhattan. They wore strapless tea-length celadon-green gowns with ivory sashes and carried mixed bouquets of roses, orchids and hydrangeas. Best man was Tony Praderio of Gardner. Groomsmen were Ben Slenker of Overland Park, Mark Musselman of Lee’s Summit, Mo., Timothy Cooper of Lawrence, John Haas of Olathe and Jeremy Larson of Topeka. Flower girl was Emily Hitschmann of Claflin. Ushers were Kyle Krier of Salina, brother of the bride, Kipp Connell of Overland Park, Nick Ewing of Kansas City and Craig Inselman of Gardner. Taper lighters were Jennifer Hitschmann of Claflin and Mark Lang of Great Bend. Musicians were Mandy Achilles of Inman and Janie Anthony, Frank Schmeidler and Ralph Diaz of Manhattan. Pianist was Rachel Massoth of Cimarron. The bride is employed by Kansas State University as an admissions representative. She will complete her master’s degree in political science in May. The groom is employed with the Fort Riley Public Affairs Office as a television producer and is working on his master’s degree in mass communications at Kansas State University. The couple reside in Manhattan.
