Laura Rankin and Sebastian Matyszewski, both of Colorado Springs, Colo., were married on Nov. 26, 2005 at First United Methodist Church, Castle Rock, Colo. The Rev. Rob White officiated the double-ring ceremony. Parents of the couple are Randy and Mary Rankin of Castle Rock, and Slawek and Halina Matyszewscy of Tomaszow, Poland. Grandparents of the couple are Wayne and Jean Ward of Larned, Janet Rankin of Great Bend and Krystyna Stroinska of Poland. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless, A-line gown in ivory with champagne tulle and lace overlay and details by Maggie Sottero with Swarovski crystals. She carried a bouquet of purple iris and burgundy calla lilies. Jessica Potasz of Colorado Springs, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Erin Krause of Parker, Colo.; Allie Cross of Erie, Colo.; Jennifer Bruining of Denver, Colo.; Julie Casten of Castle Rock; and Kelly Hurtado of Colorado Springs.The bridesmaids carried bouquets of ivory calla lilies. Piotrek Matyszewski of Tomaszow, Poland, served as the best man. The groomsmen were Michal Potasz of Colorado Springs and Colby Rankin of Castle Rock. Peyton Glinche was the flower girl. Special music was provided by Paul Dannels, soloist, Kyle Bradley, trumpeter, Donna Murray, organist and Sabrina Steeves, flutist. Candle lighters were Kate Braden of Austin, Texas, Ashton Becker of Meriden and Sunny Ward of Syracuse, N.Y. Ushers were Ty Ward of Evergreen, Colo., Jay Braden of Austin, Texas, and Ace Ward of Loveland, Colo. The bride received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and sociology from University of Colorado and MA in counseling from the University of Colorado. She is employed by Horizon Middle School in Colorado Springs. The groom received a Bachelor of Arts degree in logistics/ transportation engineering from Radom, Poland. He is employed by DHL in Colorado Springs. The couple makes their home in Colorado Springs.
