Nicole Michelle Fischer of St. John and Zacharria August Deeds of Hays were married on Dec. 10, 2005 at the United Methodist Church in Pratt. The Rev. Doug Enik of Pratt officiated the double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Gregg and Leann Fischer of Great Bend. Her grandparents are Norma and Herman Fischer Jr. of Seward and LeRoy and Viola Schraeder of Great Bend. The groom is the son of Bill and Janice Deeds of Hays. His grandparents are Wayne and Irma Deeds of Colby and Rose Scheck of Hays. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless, A-line, diamond-white taffeta gown accented with an asymmetrical overlay of silver lace encrusted with Swaroski crystals. The empire-waist line was accented with taffeta bands and a crystal brouch. A corset lace-up back and a beautiful detailed train finished the enchanting look. The bride accessorized with a Swaroski crystal tiara, earrings and necklace, while a crystal-edged veil finished the entire look. The bride carried a bouquet of white roses and lilies. The maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Stacey Fischer of Great Bend. Bridesmaids were Jenny Grunder of St. John, Jessica Henson of Ulysses, Sara Guiterez of Abilene, Texas, Carrie Kerns of Atlanta, Ga., Brittany Magiera of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Casey Jones of Philadelphia, Pa. The attendants wore deep-amethyst chiffon gowns with a scoop-cowl neckline and back, with a high-low flowing hemline. Each carried a bouquet of different hues of purple flowers. Nathan Leeper of Protection was the best man. Groomsmen were Mike LeCount and Blake Chaffin both of Hays, Paxton Crumbaker and Chad Beiser both of Brewster, Junior Vasquez of Wylie, Texas and Seth Thibault of Pratt. The flower girl was Janessa Vasquez of Wylie and Brandon Heine of Great Bend was the ring bearer. Ushers were Ben Sigel and Brandon Riffey both of Pratt, Jeff Stump of Manhattan and Danny Guiterez of Abilene. Special music was provided by vocalist Dylan Evans of Lebo. The bride is a graduate of St. John High School and Kansas State University with a bachelor of science degree in apparel and textiles. She is national sales manager, prom division, for Maggie Sottero Couture Bridal. The groom is a graduate of Hays High School, Colby Community College. He received a bachelor of science degree in agronomy and master’s degree in weed science from K-State. He is a lawn technician for Scott’s Lawn Service. The couple will live in Salt Lake City, Utah.
