Trina Marie White and Chancy Lee Schmidt were married on Nov. 19, 2005 at Community Christian Church in Great Bend. The Rev. Jack Sweany, officiated the double-ring ceremony. Parents of the couple are Craig and Cindy White and Ron Schmidt and Dorothy Schmidt. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white satin with corset bodice and tulle skirt accented with beaded Alencon lace motifs train. She also wore a three-tier veil with scattered pearls and pencil edge. She carried a hand-clutched bouquet of 12 red roses with white misty. The base was wrapped with white satin ribbon and finished off with handmade white satin ribbon roses. Brandy Ferguson, cousin of the bride, of Salina, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Christie Tijerina, sister of the groom and Lacy Schneweis, sister of the groom, both of Great Bend, and Kendi Hickel, cousin of the bride, of Claflin. They wore apple-colored dresses with x-necks and embroidery and beading, with a long chiffon A-line skirts. They carried a handclutched bouquet of six white roses and cinnabar-colored misty. The bouquets were finished with wrapped stems of cinnabar-colored satin ribbon. Cody Schmidt, brother of the groom, of Great Bend, served as the best man. The groomsmen were Ronnie Schmidt, brother of the groom, Kyle White, brother of the bride and Ignarcio Carrasco, uncle of the groom, all of Great Bend. They wore black tuxes with red vests. Raylin Schneweis, niece of the groom, of Great Bend, was the flower girl. Aidan Tijerina, nephew of the groom, of Great Bend, was the ring bearer. Haylee Ferguson, cous in of the bride, of Salina, was the miniature bride. Special music was provided by Denise Sweany, pianist, and David Hickel, uncle of the bride, vocalist. Ushers were Ryan Rowe, Blake Schneweis, brother-in-law of the groom, Scott Gruber and Brandon Chansler all of Great Bend. Taper lighters were Auston Williams, nephew of the groom, and Marissa Leeper, both of Great Bend. The bride is a 2004 graduate of Great Bend High School and is employed by Central Kansas Medical Center as a student respiratory therapist. The groom is also a 2004 graduate of GBHS and is employed by USD 428 as a para-professional. The couple makes their home in Great Bend.
