Sheila M. Schartz and Kenny Watkins were united in marriage on March 14, 2006 in a double-ring ceremony on the beach at Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The bride is the daughter of Mary Keil and Danny LeRoy of Great Bend and Conan and Donna Schartz of Hutchinson. Her grandparents are Melvin and Jane Keil of Great Bend and Abrey and Bonny Schartz of Hutchinson. The groom is the son of Lester and Karen Watkins of Hutchinson. The bride, given in marriage by her mother, wore a long, white, sleeveless, lace gown made of sheerganza. The gown featured high empire styling, a rounded neckline with chained pearls and sequins and had a banded gathering of sheerganza around the waist. The back waist was accented with rolled satin roses and trimmed with beads and sequins. The gown ended with a tiny chapel train. The illusion veil with pearl-chained beads was attached to a headpiece made of rolled satin roses and petals edged with pearls and sequins, matching the back waist of the gown. She carried a bouquet of one dozen long-stemmed peach roses. The maid of honor was the mother of the bride, Mary Keil. Danny LeRoy, step-father of the groom was the bestman. The flower girl was Tatumn Watkins, daughter of the groom, and the ring bearer was Lachlan Watkins, the couple’s son; both are of Hutchinson. The bride attended Great Bend High School and Hutchinson Community College. She is employed at the Hutchinson Clinic in Hutchinson. The groom graduated from Hutchinson High School and attended Hutchinson Community College. He is employed by Advance Pest Control of Hutchinson. The couple reside in Hutchinson.
