Lydia Marie Hanes and Adam Wayne Campbell were united in marriage on Oct. 1, 2005, at Unity Church of Overland Park in Overland Park. The Rev. Nancy Jerome officiated the double-ring ceremony. Parents of the couple are LouAnna Hanes of Otis, Donnie and Betty Moore of Trenton, Mo., and David and Marti Campbell of Trenton. The bride wore a diamond-white strapless chiffon gown. The flowing A-line gown, embellished with Swarovski crystals, featured a sweep train and a lace-up corset back. A single tier finger-tip length shimmering tulle veil and crystal tiara completed the bride’s ensemble. She carried a cascading tear-drop-shaped bouquet of stargazer lilies, dark fuchsia roses, white calla lilies, and white stephanotis. The maid of honor was Rayna Weigel and the bridesmaid was Heather Whitney both from Hays. They wore floor-length platinum gowns and carried bouquets of stargazer lilies, dark fuchsia roses, white poms and pink and white alstroemeria. The best man was Mark Campbell of Overland Park, brother of the groom. Groomsman was Chris Kirkland of Warrensburg, Mo. Ushers were Brian Ouellette of Overland Park and Rich Wortmann of Ashland, Neb. Cristina Hanes of Huntington Beach, Calif., Cathy Hanes of Savannah, Ga., and Amanda Hanes of Otis, sisters of the bride, were guest book and gift attendants. The bride is graduate of Otis-Bison High School and a graduate of Fort Hays State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in information networking and telecommunications. She is currently a student at Johnson County Community College, studying web development and design. The groom is a graduate of Trenton High School. He is also a graduate of DeVry Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in telecommunication management and Keller Graduate School of management with a Master of Bus iness Administration. He is employed as a software solutions developer with KCG Inc. of Lenexa. The couple resides in Kansas City, Mo.
