Jessica Penka and Adam Schneider were married on June 12, 2004, at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Dighton.
Rev. Ted Stoecklin, cousin of the groom, officiated the Mass and ceremony of holy matrimony.
Parents of the couple are William and Joann Penka of Dighton and Robert and Kathy Schneider of Olmitz.
Grandparents of the couple are Mary Venters, Eleanor Penka, Jerry and Maggie Gerstenkorn, and Paul Schneider.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white Italian satin, featuring an empire bodice, short sleeves and a scoop neckline.
The bodice and skirt hemline were graced with delicate embroidery, which was elaborately hand beaded.
Tiny clusters of pearls dotted the entire skirt, which flowed into a semi-cathedral train.
Her veil of sheer illusion featured a satin corded edge and cluster of pearls.
It was held in place by a narrow pearl-encrusted band.
Jennifer Speer, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Mandy Pittman, sister of the groom, Tiffany Baecker and Heather Hawkins.
Anthony Rubio served as the best man.
The groomsmen were Isaac Schneider, brother of the groom, Justin Flagler and Steven Clark.
Brianna Penka, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl.
Benjamin Schneider, brother of the groom, and Alton and Evan Speer, nephews of the bride, were the ring bearers.
Instrumental music was provided by Ida Belle Gassman, organist, and Dennis Ball, trumpeter.
Kensie Geier was soloist and song leader.
Ushers were Ryan Speer, Jacob Schneider, Daniel Schneider and Jesse Bernal.
The couple makes their home in Topeka.
