Jatim Diane Emerson and Cory James Wagner were united in marriage March 25, 2006 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Olmitz. The Rev. Ultan Murphy presided over the double-ring ceremony. Parents of the couple are Randall and Rhonda Piland of Hoisington and Myron and Linda Wagner of Otis. Grandparents of the bride are Max and Betty Hicks and Delores Crawford, all of Hoisington, and the late Clarence Piland. Grandparents of the groom are Ernest and Helen Wagner of Great Bend and Clarence and Doris Tuzicka of Otis. Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore an ivory, matte-satin gown. The V-neck halter gown was adorned with an ivory and silver beaded motif on the bodice and chapel train. She wore her mother’s simple tulle veil accented with pearls and carried a solid bouquet of white roses and stephanotises. The matron of honor was Christine Foster of Shawnee. Bridesmaid was Katie Haselhorst of Williston, N.D. The best man was Jason Wagner of Alpine, Texas, brother of the groom. Groomsman was Patrick Burnett of Wichita. The flower girl was Danica Bartonek of Olmitz and ring bearer was Ian Foster of Shawnee. Ushers were Mike Riese of Hoisington, Pat Riese of Olmitz and Jason Haselhorst of Williston, N.D. Taper lighters were Matthew and Darin Hertel, cousins of the groom. Vocalist was Katie Crump of Great Bend. The bride is a 1994 graduate of Hoisington High School. She attended Fort Hays State University and Barton County Community College. She is employed by Central Kansas Medical Center as a nurse. The groom is a 2000 graduate of Otis-Bison High School. He attended Sterling College and Hutchinson Community College. He is employed by Great Bend Feeding as an animal health technician.
