Amanda Joy Schartz, daughter of Gordon and Malia Schartz, and Scott Landon Loving, son of Marty and Karen Loving, were united in marriage on Feb. 14, 2004, in a double-ring wedding mass at St. Rose Catholic Church in Great Bend.
The Mass was officiated by Rev. Ted Stoecklein.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her parents.
She wore a Grecian inspired gown of white Italian satin.
The floor length gown featured one shoulder strap and princess seaming.
The shoulder had a band sweeping from front to back, which was heavily hand-beaded with tiny pearls, glass and bugle beads.
The bodice and skirt were adorned with beautiful hand beading, creating an embroidered effect.
In lieu of a train she wore a detachable cathedral veil studded with pearls.
Her two-tiered veil was held in place by a pearl band.
The maid of honor, Abbigail Schartz, sister of the bride, and bridesmaid, Jenni Nelson, wore plum colored chiffon floor length gowns.
The bodice featured spaghetti straps, princess seaming and an A-line skirt.
A softly shirred side drape graced the front and was accented with bugle beads.
Matt Loving, brother of the groom, served as best man and Justin Nelson served as groomsman.
Bryan Fleske and Ryan Heter served as ushers.
Zachary Wilson, cousin of the groom, was the ring-bearer.
The bride chose as her color theme, shades of dark purple and gold.
All flower arrangements were designed and arranged by the bride’s mother and sister.
Musicians included Joyce Haberman, organ, and Abbigail Schartz, flute.
Mike and Susan Rankin, cousins of the bride, provided the trumpet and French horn music.
Soloist was Tami Strobel.
Grandparents of the couple are Aletha Loving and Robert and Dorothy Maneth, the late Vonley and Joyce Bucklin, the late Charles and Dora Schartz and the late Jack Loving.
Mr. and Mrs. Loving will reside in rural Pawnee Rock.
