Jill Elizabeth Dema and Dr. Christopher Craig Cecil were united in marriage in a double ring ceremony on June 10, 2006 at the outdoor pavilion on the grounds of the Hotel Albuquerque in Old Town. Parents of the couple are Robert and Carol Dema of Great Bend and Irene Cecil of Lombard, Ill., and the late Dr. Thomas Cecil. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless ivory, matte satin gown with hand beading on the bodice and a cathedral length train. Her fingertip, scalloped veil was trimmed with matching beads. She carried a satin wrapped, hand-tied bouquet of ivory and fuchsia roses. The matron of honor was Julie Stuhlsatz of Great Bend, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Cristy Candler of New York City and Kylee Leatherman of Kansas City, Mo., cousin of the bride. They wore floor length black taffeta skirts with black and silver plaid bodices. The best man was Brendan Cecil of Lombard, Ill., brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Dr. Brian Cecil of Downers Grover, Ill., and Thomas Cecil of Lombard, Ill., brothers of the groom. The flower girl was Madison Martinez of Albuquerque, N.M., and the ring bearer was Tyler Stuhlsaz of Great Bend, nephew of the bride. The candle lighters were Grace Brahler of Lawrence and Alex Leatherman of Kansas City, Mo., cousins of the bride. Their escorts were Shane and Shilo Schaake of Westmoreland, cousins of the bride. The vocalists were George Brahler of Lawrence and Elizabeth Harwood of Irving, Texas, cousins of the bride. Readers were Franck Bennsoussan of Los Angeles, Calif., and Patty Harwood of Plano, Texas, aunt of the bride. Immediately following the ceremony, a reception, dinner and dance were held in the outdoor area adjoining the pavilion. The bride is a certified Pilates instructor and licensed massage therapist. She owns her own business in Albuquerque. The groom is a chiropractor and the owner of Albuquerque Neck and Back Pain. After a honeymoon in Italy, the couple are at home in Albuquerque.
