Danielle Dykes of Mission and Patrick Keenan of Olathe were united in marriage on May 27, 2006 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend. The Rev. Reggie Urban officiated the double-ring ceremony. Parents of the couple are Luke and Renee Dykes and Dennis and Eileen Keenan all of Great Bend. Grandparents of the bride are Hap and Lola Donecker from Great Bend and Phil and Theresa Carlson from Salina. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a satin gown with a beaded gold embroidered bodice and organza skirt featuring a lace-up back and cathedral train. Her cathedral veil was secured with a tiara of pearls, rhinestones and crystals. She carried a satin-wrapped, hand-tied bouquet of ivory tulips and roses. The maid of honor was Sarah Dykes, sister of the bride, of Great Bend. Bridesmaids were Erin VanCamp, of Olathe, Brooke Heier, of Overland Park and Jennifer Robbins, sister of the groom, of Kansas City, Mo. They wore chocolate, European-satin strapless 3/4-length dresses with a chocolate ribbon tied at the waist. They carried satin-wrapped hand-tied bouquets of pink tulips. The best man was Ryan Keenan, brother of the groom, of West Hartford, Conn. Groomsmen were Matthew Mingenback, of Dallas, Texas, Matthew Gerstner, of Wichita and Bryan Robbins, brother-in-law of the groom, of Kansas City, Mo. Ushers were Bryan Folkerts, cousin of the groom, of Overland Park and Josh Sheets, cousin of the bride, of Albert. The bride’s personal attendant was Heather Brincks, of West Hartford, Conn. Candlelighters were Sarah Call, of Mission and Megan McMullen of Lawrence. Vocalist was Tami Strobel of Great Bend. Organist was Joyce Haberman of Great Bend. Violinist was Purvi Patel of Shawnee. Terry Keenan from Ness City was the lector and Pat Keenan from Great Bend and Joe Leiker from Olathe were the Eucharistic ministers. The bride is a 2000 graduate of Great Bend High School. She graduated from the University of Kansas in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in education and will graduate in May from the University of Kansas Medical Center with a doctorate of physical therapy. The groom is a 2000 graduate of Great Bend High School. He graduated from the University of Kansas in 2004 with a Bachelor of General Studies degree. He is employed at Freightquote.com as a new business representative. The couple reside in Olathe.
