Lynn Schneider and Gregg Kern were united in marriage on Sept. 30, 2006 at Dozier Vineyard and Winery in Ellinwood. The Rev. Mike Pfortmiller officiated the double-ring ceremony. Parents of the couple are Gerald and June Schneider, Gary and Carolyn Kern, all of Great Bend, Mary Sue Schneider of Hoisington and Brian and Ellen Ernst of Hutchinson. Grandparents of the bride are Esther Schneider of Great Bend and the late Paul Schneider and Willard and Ruby Anderson. Grandparents of the groom are Ethel Baldwin of Great Bend, Dale and Virginia Kern of Hutchinson and the late Vern Baldwin and Lucille Kern. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a matte satin gown featuring a short-sleeve, Basque waistline bodice with a scoop neckline. The full-shirred skirt flowed into a cathedral-length train. Hand-beading and Alencon lace embellished the entire gown. The train was accented with bows down the entire length. The matron of honor was Pam Jenkinson of Great Bend. Bridesmaids were Jamie Wolf and Karen Riedl of Hoisington and Haley Guesnier of Great Bend. The best man was Chris Kirmer of Holyrood. Groomsmen were Terry Steele of Claremore, Okla., Dan Shoemaker of Oakley and Mike Gilzinger of Hutchinson. Flower girl was Kennedy Kern, daughter of the couple and ring bearer was Jerimiah Steele of Hutchinson. Ushers were Cliff White, cousin of the bride of Great Bend and Daryl Keener of Hutchinson. Vocalist was Kinnat Whelan. Organist was Dianna Webster and trumpet was played by Marc Webster, all of Great Bend. The bride is a graduate of Hoisington High School and National College with a Bachelor of Science degree. She is employed by CPI Qualified Plan Consultants as a document specialist. The groom is a graduate of Great Bend High School and attended Barton County Community College. He is employed by Parts, Inc., in Great Bend. The couple reside in Great Bend.
