Caitlin Marie Debes and Wesley Ryan Spohr were united in marriage on July 1, 2006 at First Christian Church in Great Bend. The Rev. William Johnson officiated. Parents of the bride are Jim and Susan Debes of Great Bend. Parents of the groom are Dennis and Marla Spohr of Dodge City. Grandparents of the bride are Lois Replogle of Great Bend and the late Dr. Charles Replogle and the late Lawrence and Mary Margaret Debes. Grandparents of the groom are Wayne and Helen Payton of Emporia, Lorraine Spohr of Dodge City and the late Herbert Spohr. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an elegant diamond-white organza over matte-satin gown designed in princess silhouette, featuring a strapless neckline with a delicately beaded motif across the bodice. The A-line skirt swept from a wrapped-waist detail into its own chapel train. A crystal and rhinestone tiara held her chapel-length bridal illusion veil. She carried a colonial-style bouquet of vogue and hot pink princess roses with lily grass entwined over the top of the satin-wrapped stems. The maid of honor was Madison Debes, sister of the bride, of Great Bend. The bridesmaids were Lacey Moore of Arlington, Texas, Callie Wilson of Manhattan, Gina Penka of Eudora, Stephanie Rhoads, cousin of the bride, of Lawrence, and Kaley Peters of Manhattan. They wore sea foam matte-satin evening gowns designed in a strapless princess silhouette and featuring criss-cross satin banding at the midriff. They carried bouquets of vogue and hot pink princess roses with loped lily grass and sea foam satin-wrapped stems. Best men were Shane Johnson of Dodge City and Eli Cook of Dodge City. Groomsmen were Colton Debes, brother of the bride, of Great Bend, Dustin Fergerson and Kyle Parker, both of Dodge City, and Damon McDonald of Garden City. Ushers were Scott Esquibel of Topeka, Ryan Kennedy and Eric Konrade, both of Garden City, Parker Rhoads, cousin of the bride, of Phoenix, Ariz., Andy Smarsh of Dodge City and Desmond Tipton of Topeka. Candle lighters were Elizabeth and Andrew Kutina, cousins of the bride, of Great Bend. Flower girl was Payton Magouirk, niece of the groom, of Dodge City. Ring bearer was Brenden Magouirk, nephew of the groom, of Dodge City. Vocalist was Blake Guthrie, trumpeter was J.B. Webster and organist was Connie Weiser, all of Great Bend. The bride is a graduate of Great Bend High School and Fort Hays State University with a bachelor’s degree in justice studies. She is employed by the 25th Judicial District Community Corrections as an intensive supervision officer. The groom is a graduate of Dodge City High School, Dodge City Community College and Fort Hays State University with a bachelor’s degree in justice studies. He is employed with Farm Credit of Southwest Kansas as a loan officer. The couple reside in Garden City.
