Smades 50th
Jack and Lois Smades of Larned will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4:30 p.m. on April 8, 2006 at the First United Methodist Church in Larned.
Jack Smades and Lois Glanville were married April 8, 1956, at the Pleasant Valley Methodist Church in rural Leoti.
Their children are Dana Luebbers-Burch, Jan Smades and Cory and Leigh Anne Stelter, all of Larned and the late Gary Smades.
The couple have 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
The couple request no gifts, just the honor of your presence at their reception.

Graner 50th
Rev. James and Anne Graner of Larned celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house on April 1, 2006 at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Larned.
Rev. James Graner married Anne LoBianco on April 7, 1956, at St. Dominic’s Church, Oyster Bay, N.Y.
He has been vicar at Saints Mary and Martha of Bethany, Larned, and Holy Nativity, Kinsley, for 24 years.
Although retired, he still supplies for both churches.
He is also a published author of three books he has written about his life experiences.
Mrs. Graner is a retired librarian from Larned State Hospital and remains very active in several groups as a volunteer, including St. Joseph Memorial Hospital and serves as VFW Auxiliary president.

Blazer 25th
James and Ruby Blazer of Natoma will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary with a surprise reception from 2 to 4 p.m. on April 9, 2006 at the Heritage Senior Center, 103 N. Main Street in Ellinwood.
James Blazer and Ruby Fortner were married April 10, 1981 at Great Bend.
They lived in Great Bend until moving to Natoma in 1998.
Jim is retired from the State of Kansas Department of Transportation and Ruby is retired from Special Touch Flowers.
Hosts for the surprise shower will be their children; Tammy Hoffman of Cawker City, Kelly Staples of Lawrence, Jacci and Rick Standlee of Ellinwood, Kent Staples of Nebraska and James Blazer of Beloit.
