Weathers 60th
Russell and Marian Weathers of Great Bend will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with their children and spouses at a later date in Kansas City.
Russell Weathers and Marian Mull were married June 2, 1946, at the First United Methodist Church in Great Bend.
The couple’s children and their spouses are: Connie and Wayne Lanam of Kansas City and Doug and Gaylene Weathers of Wichita.
Their grandchildren are: Steph and Pat Allen of Kansas City, Bradley and Monica Weathers of Olatha, and Bret Weathers, Dayton, Ohio. Great-grandchildren are: Grant and Grace Allen and Morgan Weathers.
MacDonald 65th
Emerson and Gladys MacDonald will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on May 29, 2006.
The couple was married on May 29, 1941, in the bride’s grandmother’s garden in Winfield.
They have lived in Great Bend since 1947.
Emerson was a teacher at Great Bend High School and Gladys worked in the office at Harrison Junior High until their retirement.
They have three children, Shirley Gunn, Emerson W. MacDonald and Greg MacDonald; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
They would appreciate cards from friends and family.

Elmore 60th
Jack and Louise Elmore of Rozel will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary from 6 to 8 p.m. on May 24, 2006 with a reception at the Rozel Community Center.
Jack E. Elmore and Amy Louise Lewis were married June 4, 1946, at the Methodist Church in Rozel.
Mr. Elmore is a farmer and Mrs. Elmore is a retired school teacher and homemaker.
The reception will be hosted by their family.
Friends and family are invited for finger foods and an opportunity to congratulate the couple.
