Lunsford 50th
Larry and Jeanine Lunsford will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception at 7 p.m. on June 24, 2006 at the Perkins Banquet Hall in Great Bend.
The couple was married on June 9, 1956, at the First Methodist Church of Great Bend.
The reception is being hosted by their daughter Candi Lunsford and their grandson Zack Rabenseifner.
The couple request no gifts.
Carson 40th
Dennis and Darla Carson of Ellinwood will celebrate their 40th anniversary on June 18, 2006.
He is originally from Hamilton and graduated from Emporia State University.
While teaching in Montezuma, he met Darla McFadden and they were married in 1966.
The Carsons moved to Ellinwood in 1969, where he taught at Ellinwood High School.
Mr. Carson has owned and operated C&V Home Improvement since 1976.
Mrs. Carson is an early childhood educator.
She is currently with the Headstart program in Great Bend.
She formerly owned Busy Bee Preschool in Ellinwood.
Both are very active at First Baptist Church in Ellinwood.
Their favorite activity is anything involving grandchildren.
The couple have two children and five grandchildren: Damon, and his wife Traci and three children from Longmont, Colo., and Shawna, husband Sheldon and two children from Topeka.
Robl 50th
Roy and Rosemary Robl celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 20, 2006 in Ellinwood with family and friends at a celebration hosted by their children.
Rosemary Schawe of rural Great Bend and Roy Robl of rural Ellinwood were married on June 16, 1956, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend.
They lived on their farm north of Ellinwood until they moved to Ellinwood in 1996 upon retirement.
The couple have six children: Kent and Staci (Ott) Robl, Joan (Robl) and Andy Wise, Craig Roble, Corey Robl and Ryan Robl, all of Ellinwood, and Rod and Cheryil (Lee) Robl of Centennial, Colo.
They have seven grandchildren: Kendra (Wise) and Chad Kaiser, Keri Wise, Leslie Wise, Jake Robl, Jeni Rob, Christopher Robl, and Shawna Robl.
