Brashears 45th
Leland and Sandra Brashear of Hoisington will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary with a public reception and dance from 6:30 p.m. to midnight on Oct. 7, 2006 at the American Legion, 1011 Kansas Ave., in Great Bend.
Sandra McMillin and Leland Brashear were married Oct. 3, 1961, in Wellington.
The couple has lived in Hoisington the last 29 years.
Leland Brashear was a state trooper for 24 years, retiring as a master trooper.
He works for C & V Home Improvement.
Sandra Brashear worked at Gibson Discount Center and Great Bend Day Care Center.
Hosts for the reception and dance will be: Tammera and Les Ward of Anthony, Tina Barragan of Wellington, Michael and Jennifer Brashear of Wichita and Karrie Brashear of Manhattan. The couple has six grandchildren: Katrina Garrison, Brandon and Hope Ward, Trenton and Tristan Barragan and Kylie Brashear; and one great-granddaughter, Shanese Garrison.
Feist 50th
William (Bill) and Gladys Feist will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 30, 2006 with a family dinner.
Gladys Deines and Bill Feist were married on Sept. 21, 1956, in Hastings, Neb.
The couple have four children: Kim Dobratz and husband Steve of Great Bend, Rick Feist and wife Bev of Ponca City, Okla., Roxanne Mayers of Great Bend and the late Steve Mayers, and Shelly and Kent Strube of Claflin; eight grandchildren, Jason Mayers and wife Jayme, and Janell Mayers, all of Great Bend, Jennifer Mayers of Hays, Brittany and Ali Feist of Ponca City, Okla., Shaun and Matt Dobratz of Great Bend and Tanner Strube of Claflin; and one great grandchild, Samantha Mayers of Great Bend.

Crawford 40th
John and Roxie Crawford celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on Sept. 3, 2006 with a reception at the Hoisington Knights of Columbus Hall.
John Crawford and Roxie Wharton were married on Sept. 3, 1966, at the Methodist Church in Bison.
He is the manager of the Traveler’s Budget Inn in Great Bend and she is the teller coordinator at Bank of America in Great Bend.
Hosts for the reception were the couple’s children and their spouses, Lana and Patrick Kephart of Hoisington, Diana and Mike Erwin of Buffalo, Okla., and Michael and Angie Crawford of Fayetteville, Ark.
They have six grandchildren: Krissie Hutchins, Adam Kephart, Abbie Kephart, Shanna Fleener, Talisha Crawford and Tori Fleener; and five great-grandchildren, Conner, Brooklynn and Morgen Hutchins, Xandie Hurst and Charlee Ray.
