Daubert 45th
Ben and Judy Daubert of rural Otis will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary with a reception from 1 to 4 p.m. on Nov. 26, 2006 at the Otis Cougar Den, Main Street in Otis.
Their sons Mark and Marlin would like to invite everyone to help them celebrate.
Hoss 50th
Paul and Dorothy Hoss will celebrate their 60th anniversary with a reception for family and friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Nov. 25, 2006 at the Knights of Columbus in Great Bend.
The couple was married on Nov. 27, 1946, in Seward.
Their children include: Kent and Paula Rixon of St. John, Layne and Barbara Shirk, Tony and Deanna Martinez and Kent Hoss all of Great Bend, Don and Anita Hoss of Overland Park, Tim and Debbie Hoss of Stafford, Mary Alice Jones of Sterling and Robert and Jane Bowers of Ottowa.
The couple requests no gifts.
McGee 25th
Anthony (Tony) McGee, son of Jim and Freddie McGee of Branson, Mo., and Mary Lou McGee, daughter of Don and Erma Meyer of Great Bend, will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary with an a get-away being planned and a future trip to Ireland.
The couple was married on Nov. 14, 1981, in Pittsburgh at the Timmon’s Chapel on the Pittsburg State University campus.
The couple is employed by St. John’s in Joplin.
Tony has been a radiation therapist for the past 13 years and Mary has been a registered nurse for the past 24 years.
The family has been members of Christ Community United Methodist Church in Joplin, Mo. for the past 13 years.
The couple has two sons, Matthew and Donald, both of Joplin.
Hickel - 50th
Joe and Helen Hickel of Ellinwood will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a Mass and family gathering during the holidays at Ellinwood.
Joe Hickel and the former Helen McPherson were married Dec. 29, 1954, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hays.
Mr. Hickel is a veteran of the Korean Conflict, a retired 37-year teacher and administrator in Ellinwood and a former Ellinwood mayor of 10 years.
Mrs. Hickel is a retired employee of Security State Bank in Great Bend and Commercial Federal Bank in Ellinwood.
The family gathering will be attended by their five children and 12 grandchildren.
They are: Diana and Paul Zecha, Steven and Kyle of Hoisington; Bethany (Zecha) Ramsey and James of Derby; Greg Hickel of Ellinwood; Pam and Rich Koester, Lacey, Brianne, Jackie, MacKenzie and Rylie of Hoisington; Scott and Deb Hickel, Elisha and Joshua of Denver; and Kevin and Angie Hickel, Caden and Greyson of Park City.
