Messick - 50th
Anna and Bud Messick celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on March 26, 2005 at the Kingman Activity Center.
Bud Messick and Anna Manwarren were married April 2, 1955, at the First Baptist Church in Sterling.
Mr. Messick worked in the oil field for Skelly Oil and Getty Oil, retiring from Texaco Oil Co.
Mrs. Messick worked for J C Penney and Sears before helping her husband in the oil field.
They have lived in Sterling, Lyons and Claflin and now reside in Kingman.
Their children and spouses are Clairissa and Steve Maddy of Wichita, Clarence and Lori Messick of St. John and Cindy and Lynn Lannon of Kingman. They also have 10 grandchildren and all hosted the occasion. Cards may be sent to them at 738 N Chariton, Kingman, KS 67068.
Tunks - 55th
Delbert and Norma Tunks of Great Bend are celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary with a card shower.
Delbert Tunks and Norma Hanson were married on April 2, 1950, in Belleville.
Mr. Tunks is retired from The Davey Tree Co. and Mrs. Tunks is a homemaker.
The couple has three children; Gene Tunks and wife, Rose, of Commerce, Okla.; Karen Magill and husband, Don, of Kansas City; and Kathy Miller and husband, Tim, of Great Bend.
The couple also has eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Williamson - 45th
Clayton and Teddy Williamson of Hoisington celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary with a reception on March 12, 2005, at the First United Methodist Church in Hoisington. Hosts were their daughters and families, Jettie and Jeff Zoller of Hoisington and grandchildren, Ryan and Brooke; Laura and Brad Barnard of Hoisington and grandchildren, Brance, Blaine and Bailey; and Karla Weeks of Steamboat Springs, Colo., and grandchildren, Breanna and Jonathan.
Spc. 5th Class, Clayton Williamson of Hoisington and Spc. 4th Class, Teddy Fennell of Antlers, Okla., were married on March 11, 1960, in Hugo, Okla., while serving in the U.S. Army.
They have lived in Hoisington for the past 40 years.
Mr. Williamson was the owner of a welding and lawn sprinkling businesses and had worked for Esfeld Epoxy for many years before his retirement.
He was mayor of Hoisington for one term and is an active volunteer in several organizations.
Mrs. Williamson is a registered nurse graduating from Barton County Community College and Fort Hays University.
She will retire in April from Clara Barton Hospital.
She previously worked at Barton County Health Department and Central Kansas Medical Center.
Since January 2004, she has been the parish nurse for First United Methodist Church and will continue in that role.
