Rexwinkle - 50th
Darrell and Colleen Rexwinkle of Great Bend will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception hosted by their children and grandchildren from 2 to 4 p.m. on March 12, 2005, at the Great Bend Recreation Center, 1214 Stone, Great Bend.
Darrell Rexwinkle and Dixie “Colleen” Childress were married at the Methodist Church in Valeda on March 12, 1955.
They have one son and daughter-in-law, Kent and Diane Rexwinkle of Great Bend; six daughters, Mrs. Rick (Angela) Skaggs of Stilwell; Mrs. Mica (Sherrie) Schnoebelen of Lewis; Mrs. Jay (Shelly) Coverdale of Topeka; Mrs. Kenneth (Rhonda) Penka and Mrs. Steve (Dixie) Divis, both of Great Bend; and Kim Stanley of Brooklyn, N.Y.
There are 19 grandchildren: Kyle, Ryan, Eric and Sean Skaggs; Denise Dietz, Tony, Gina and Lisa Penka; Dustin and Skylar Rexwinkle; Kelsey and Kade Schnoebelen; Heath and Courtney Coverdale; Jason, Chris, Brittany, Bryce and Jared Divis.
The couple has one great-grandson, Tanner Rexwinkle and one deceased great-grandson, Connor Rexwinkle.
The couple request no gifts.
Dunn - 40th
Mr. and Mrs. Dick Dunn are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary with an Alaskan cruise.
Dick Dunn and Judy Lampe were married on April 24, 1965, in Pratt.
The couple has lived most of their married life in Great Bend.
Mr. Dunn has been employed by Stanion Wholesale Electric for 37 years.
Mrs. Dunn has been at the Great Bend Middle School for 27 years.
The couple has two children, Ryan Dunn and wife, Nicki, of North Platte, Neb., and Jana Miessler and husband, Tim, of Great Bend.
Grandchildren are Shelby and Gage Dunn of North Platte, Neb.
Keil - 50th
Glenn and Helen Keil of Russell will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on April 9, 2005 with a reception from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at the AmericInn Lodge, Dole Conference Center, 1430 South Fossil, Russell.
Glenn Keil and Helen Mai were married on April 17, 1955, in Russell at the St. John Lutheran Church.
Mr. Keil worked for United Telephone/Sprint for 39 years.
Mrs. Keil was employed at Sunflower Bank.
The couple has been active in square dancing and round dancing in the area over the years.
Hosts for the reception will be their two children and their families: Glenda and Paul Phillips, Megan and Amy of Russell; and Terry and Rayleen Keil, Ben and Jennifer of House Springs, Mo.
