Royer - 50th
Ron and Fern Royer of Great Bend will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house reception from 2 to 4 p.m. on July 17, 2005 at Grace Community Church, 210 McKinley, in Great Bend.
They will renew their vows at 3 p.m.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate with them.
Fern Ochs of Otis and Ron Royer of Sunbury, Pa., were married July 17, 1955, in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Otis.
Hosts for the occasion will be their children: Eric and Shannon Royer, Kurt Royer, and Everett and Stephanie Royer, all of Otis.
The couple also has five grandchildren; John Royer of Mooresville, N.C., and Kristen, Elizabeth, Renee and Sean Royer all of Otis.
The couple requests no gifts.
Prosser - 40th
Alvin and Bernadine Prosser of rural Russell will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on July 5, 2005.
Alvin Prosser and the former Bernadine Koch were married July 5, 1965, at St. Patrick’s Catholic church in Great Bend.
Mr. Prosser is a real estate broker and appraiser and Bernadine is a former oilfield secretary.
Their children and spouses are: Tom and Brenda Prosser of rural McCracken and Angi and Gene Renner of Lee’s Summit, Mo.
Their grandchildren are Stacey, Kristy and Cody Prosser and Alison and Payton Renner.
Schneider - 60th
Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Schneider are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary with a casual, come-and-go reception from 3-5 p.m. today at the CPI Annex on the corner of Kansas and 24th streets in Great Bend.
Lawrence S. Schneider and Pauline McDonald were married on Aug. 11, 1945, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
The couple has spent the majority of their marriage in Great Bend.
Mr. Schneider worked on the family farm and Mrs. Schneider as a domestic engineer.
The reception is being hosted by the couple’s children and their spouses: Larry and Kathy Schneider of Great Bend, Pamela and Myron Maresch of Ozona, Texas, Sally and Matthew Davis of Ellinwood and Todd and Kim Schneider of Great Bend.
The couple also has 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren, 14 step great grandchildren and four step great-great-grandchildren.
