Hearn - 50th
Edward and Wilhelmia Hearn will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 27, 2005 with a family dinner in Wichita.
Edward Hearn and Willie Roedel were married on Aug. 26, 1955, in Sherman Oaks, Calif.
Wilhelmia Hearn is the daughter of William and Mary Roedel of New York City, N.Y.
They reside in Great Bend where they have lived for the past 25 years.
They are the former owners of Hearn’s Tree Service.
Mr. Hearn is now manager of Barton Hills Golf Course and Mrs. Hearn works at Great Bend Central Medical Center.
The couple has four children: John Hearn and wife, Cindy, of El Dorado; Jeanette Bowen and husband, Tommy, of Ridgeway, S.C.; James Hearn; and Judy Schick and husband, Robin, of Lebo.
They have six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren: granddaughter, Lachelle Spencer and husband, George, their three sons, Hunter, Jackson, and Ashton, of Lebo; grandson, Mike Schick and wife Lynsey, and their son Dakota, of Leavenworth; grandson, Dallas Schick, of Lebo; granddaughter, Ashley Hearn, and grandson, Evan Hearn, of El Dorado; and grandson, Jaimie Hearn of California.
Jecha - 50th
James and Carole Jecha will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 27, 2005.
James Jecha and Carole Jo Morse were married in La Crosse and have spent their married life on a farm west of Timken.
Family of the couple are Craig and Carla Jecha, Joshua and Brandi of Timken, Dr. Nathan and Michelle McDonald, Sarah and Megan of Ness City, Scott and Dreama Jecha, Justin and Dylan of Timken.
Werth - 50th
Leon and Joan Werth of Great Bend are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
Leon Werth and Joan Werth were married Aug. 30, 1955 in Schoenchen.
The couple celebrated with their children and families by taking a trip to Branson, Mo., in May; and a surprise reception/dance in August given by their children.
The couple's children and spouses are: Colleen and Doug Kohls, Keith and Ann Werth, Neil and Fran Werth all of Great Bend; Michelle and Todd Schenkel of Topeka; Denise and Tony Thole of Parker, Colo.; Kurt and Dionne Werth of Cimarron.
The couple also have 17 grandchildren.
