Kempke - 50th
Dean and Janice Kempke of Claflin are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 29, 2005.
Dean Kempke and Janice Swalley were married on Oct. 29, 1955, at Holyrood.
He is retired from Harbison-Fischer and she retired from JC Penney.
The couple’s children and spouses are: David and Denise Kempke of Claflin, Randy Kempke of Kansas City, Mo., and Brad and Robin Kempke of Johnson.
The couple also has nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Starbuck - 54th
Bill and Jean Starbuck are celebrating their 54th wedding anniversary.
Bill Starbuck and Jean Wolf were married on Oct. 28, 1951, at Russell.
The couple’s children are: Cindy Popp and husband, Don, of Salem, Ill.; Julie Urban and husband, Marvin, of Great Bend; and Terri Schneider of Great Bend and fiance´, Bob Stapleton.
The couple also have seven grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.

Frydendall - 50th
Garth and Jo Ann Frydendall of Great Bend are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
Garth Frydendall and Jo Ann Jewell were married Oct. 10, 1955, at the Assembly of God Church in Osborne.
Frydendall is a retired truck driver, having driven a truck in Osborne and Smith counties from 1955 through 1964 and from 1964 to 2004 in Great Bend.
Jo Ann Frydendall was a cashier at Taco Grande and Dilly’s until 1996.
The couple have two children, Debbie Evers and husband, Daryl, of Olathe and Brenda Axman and husband, Paul, of Hoisington.
Grandchildren are Derek Evers and wife, Heather, of Mustang, Okla., Deren Evers of Oklahoma City, Okla., Dawna Evers of Olathe and Douglas Axman of Hoisington.
