Likes - 50th
Kenneth and Mary Rose Likes of Great Bend celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends at a reception and dinner on Oct. 8, 2005 at the Great Bend Senior Center.
Kenneth Likes and Mary Rose Stegman were married on Oct. 8, 1955, at Ness City.
Hosts for the reception were the couple’s children and spouses: Mary M. Schartz, John Likes, Eugene and Genia Likes and Darrel Likes, all of Great Bend.
The couple also has five granddaughters.
Rube - 45th
Jim and Connie Rube of Great Bend announce their 45th wedding anniversary.
Jim Rube and Connie Gilmore were married on Oct. 8, 1960, at Concordia Lutheran Church in Hoisington.
They are coowners of Rube’s Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration of Great Bend.
They have two daughters, Rebecca Reeves and husband, Alan, of Wilson, and Carie Pedigo and husband, Brian, of Great Bend.
Their grandchildren are Tyler, Creighton and Tanner Reeves, all of Wilson, and Phane and Accacia Pedigo of Great Bend.
The couple plan a trip to Hawaii in December.
Schneider - 50th
Marvin and Marguerite Schneider of Olmitz will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. on Oct. 9, 2005 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Olmitz.
Marvin Schneider and Marguerite Maneth were married Oct. 4, 1955, in La Crosse.
Hosts for the anniversary will be their children and spouses: Donna Huff of Ellis, Rita Pivonka of Great Bend, Sharon Royer of Otis, Steve and Tammie Schneider of Olmitz, Karen and Jim Pechanec of Timken, Susan and Rick Myrick of Hutchinson, Paula and Reggie Tamman of Timken and John and Stacy Schneider of Otis.
They also have 21 grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
The couple requests no gifts.
