Brozek - 40th
Weldon and Paula Brozek are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary with a trip to Alaska, up the Inside Passage, the Yukon and the Kenai Peninsula.
They also celebrated at the diocesan Mass on Oct. 16, 2005 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cathedral in Dodge City.
Weldon Brozek and the former Paula Hipsher were married Oct. 16, 1965, in Great Bend.
He retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone and she is a nurse at Heartland Dermatology.
The couple has three children: Justin Brozek and wife, Arlene, of Bovina, Texas; Jill Schmitz and husband, AJ, of Wichita; and Josh Brozek and wife, Michelle, also of Wichita.
They also have four grandchildren: Jake and Justus Brozek of Bovina, Texas, and Emma and Elizabeth Brozek of Wichita.
Brozek - 50th
Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Brozek of La Crosse celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Wendell Brozek of Lucas and Ramona Moore of La Crosse were married Oct. 8, 1955 at La Crosse.
Children of the couple are Jo Ellen Schaffstall and husband, Tom of Olathe and Jeffrey Brezek and wife Rhonda of Great Bend.
Grandchildren are Jason and Jessica Brozek and Caitlin Schaffstall.
Wolfe - 40th
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wolfe of Great Bend are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary with a card shower.
Harold (Bud) Wolfe and Lois Bowman were married Nov. 20, 1965, at the Methodist Church in Galesburg.
He is retired from the City of Great Bend and she is retired from Fuller Brush and is presently employed by North American Drilling.
The couple have two children, Tina Bair of Great Bend and Tim Wolfe of Ellinwood.
They also have three grandchildren, Kyrie Bair, Logan Wolfe and Lakin Wolfe.
