Eitel - 64th
Mr. and Mrs. Vernon R. Eitel of Great Bend will celebrate their 64th wedding anniversary Wednesday. Eitel and Nellie Bley were married Jan. 21, 1940, at Fredrick. The couple have one daughter who lives in Denver, Colo.
Tipling - 25th
Paul and Dixie Tipling will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary Jan. 6, 2004. The couple was married Jan. 6, 1979, at First Assembly of God Church. They have one daughter, Lindsey Jane, who is a senior at Kansas State University. Anniversary - February 2004
Hammeke - 50th
Maurice and Norma Hammeke will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, and their daughter and son-in-law, JoElla and Bill Tobin, will celebrate their first wedding anniversary with an open house for friends and family at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004, at St. Patrick’s Parish Center in Great Bend. Hammeke and the former Norma Lamoree were married March 2, 1954, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend. JoElla and Bill Tobin of Lawrence were married March 2, 2003, at the Little Whit e Chapel in Las Vegas, Nev. Hosts for the Hammeke celebration include their children and spouses, Marla and Dennis Redburn of Great Bend, Lynda and Earl Ford of Olathe, Vince and Tina Hammeke of Lenexa, and JoElla and Bill Tobin of Lawrence. They have one son, deceased, Ron Hammeke. Their grandchildren are Dustin Sullivan of Great Bend, Trilby and Rob Haller of Green Bay, Wis., Colby Sullivan of Great Bend, Lynzee, Taylor, Cressa and Jensyn Ford, all of Olathe, and Andrew, Ryan and Adam Hammeke, all of Lenexa. Great-grandchildren are Savannah Sullivan of Great Bend; and Zachary, Daniel and Aleigha Haller, all of Green Bay, Wis.
