Wornkey - 50th
Don and Marlene Wornkey Sr. will celebrate their 50th anniversary March 17, 2004. Wornkey and the former Marlene Pohlman were married March 17, 1954, at Lewistown, Mont., and have lived in St. John most of their married life. Wornkey is retired with St. John-Hudson public schools and she is retired with Stafford County Conservation District. Their children are Carolyn Boles and husband Kent of St. John, and Don Wornkey Jr. and wife Aurie of Hutchinson. The couple has three grandchildren, Angie Boles McGuire and husband Clint, Travis Boles and wife Gayle, and Garrett Wornkey. They also have five great-grandchildren, Cali McGuire, Hunter McGuire and Madison McGuire, Alexis Boles and Brendan Boles.
Gustus - 50th
Mr. and Mrs. Dean Gustus of Geneseo will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary March 20, 2004 at the Geneseo American Legion from 2 to 4 p.m. Hosts for the celebration will be their children, Roy and Patty Beagley, Carolyn Gustus and Mike Gustus. The couple requests no gifts.
Deutsch - 50th
Junior and Wilmetta Deutsch will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary April 25, 2004. Deutsch and the former Wilmetta Mai were married April 25, 1954, at Russell and reside in Hoisington. He is retired from Union Pacific Railroad and she worked for Drs. Robert Moore, Robert Warrick and Cardinal Pharmacy, retiring in 2001. Their children are John and Carma Deutsch of Topeka and John and Kim Emert of Mission. They also have four grandchildren, Sara and Ryan of Topeka and Frank and Molly of Mission. The couple, their children and grandchildren all enjoyed a vacation together in Tempe, Ariz., and Scotsdale, Ariz., in January. The couple will celebrate their special day with a family dinner.
