Huslig - 40th
Paul and Bernice Huslig of Great Bend will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. May 2, 2004 at St. Patrick’s Parish Center in Great Bend. Huslig and the former Bernice Schneweis were married May 9, 1964, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend. He is retired from Aquila Mullergren station and she is retired from Clara Barton Hospital as a lab technician. Hosts for the event will be their children, Paula Wierman and husband Tom of Calgary, Canada, and Ruth Huslig of Great Bend, and their grandchildren, Hope Huslig of Great Bend and Chris, Molly and Justin Wierman from Calgary. The couple requests no gifts.
Christiansen - 20th
David and Beverly Christiansen of Great Bend will celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church fellowship hall, 2101 Jackson. They were married May 18, 1984, at St. Mark’s Church. He is retired from Great Bend Fire Department and she is a retired manager of Action Video. Their children are David of McPherson, Jennifer of Big Sandy, Texas, DeeDee Cross of Ellis, Linda Estep of Wichita and Racine Rens of Liberty, Mo. The couple have 11 grandchildren, Kami, Chad and Bret Christiansen; Jerry and Laura Simcik; Andrea and Alyson Es tep; and Sidney, Derrick, Emily and Abigail Rens. The couple has two stepgrandchildren, Dustin and Casey Cross. The couple request no gifts.
Keil - 25th
Kevin and Donna Keil will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, May 16, 2004 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, located at 2101 Jackson, Great Bend. Keil and Donna Peak were married May 26, 1979, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Great Bend. Hosting the reception are the couple’s children, Andrea and Travis Thompson of Larned and Spencer Richard Keil of Great Bend; parents, Irene Peak and Arnie and Arleen Keil of Great Bend; and Donna’s sisters, Glennda Drescher of Great Bend and Nancy Sargent of Newton.
