Haberman - 50th
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Haberman of Larned, Kansas are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception on Sept. 5, 2004, from 2-4 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus in Larned. Joe Haberman and Helen Danler were married Aug. 31, 1954, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Kinsley. Their children are; Christine Engel and husband John of Topeka; Randy Haberman and wife Jana of Eagle Point, Ore.; Joyce Haberman of Larned; Brian Haberman, Douglas Haberman and Carol Haberman, all of Hays. Doonan - 35th
Glen Doonan and Dorthy Hart were married Sept. 6, 1969, in Elkins, W.Va. The couple currently lives in Hoisington. Glen Doonan is employed by the Riverbend Super 8. Dorothy Doonan is a clerk with the District Court. The couple has three children; Jeff Doonan and wife Hanna of St. Mary’s, Wade Doonan and wife Sandy of Ellinwood and Lynn Andreas and husband Merlyn Jr. of New Cambria. The couple also have 4 grandchildren.
Turner - 50th
Larrie and Janet Harris Turner will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 28, 2004. Larrie retired in 1976 from the United States Air Force and moved to Great Bend where he was employed as a pilot for Davis Mud, then Lifewatch out of Hays and Dodge City. Janet worked for Fuller Brush and Great Bend Auto Supply. The couple will celebrate with a trip in 2005 to the Island of Cyprus. They have three children; Dennis and wife Terri of Broken Arrow, Okla., Stephen and wife Tess of the Island of Cyprus, and Bryan of San Diego, Calif.
