Seyfert - 60th
Harold and Evadine Seyfert, Claflin, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 3, 2004 at the United Methodist Church, 3rd and Hamilton, Claflin. Seyfert and the former Evadine Thome were married Oct. 7, 1944, at the Friends Church in Beaver. Mr Seyfert retired from the Claflin School District, and after retiring from farming in 1996, they moved to Claflin. Hosts for the celebration will be their children and spouses, Karen DeGrazio of Newton, Dennis and Sharon Seyfert of McPherson and Cindy and Mike Sheffield of Norman, Okla. Hamilton - 50th
Former resident couple of Barton County are celebrating their 50th Wedding anniversary. Harry Hamilton and Dorothy Straub were married on September 20, 1954 at Decatur, Indiana. Friends and family members of Harry and Dorothy Hamilton are invited to a reception at the Community Center in Nevada, Mo. hosted by their children from 2 to 4 p.m. on September 19 honoring the Hamiltons. The couple have four children; Kathy and husband Rudy Spann, David and wife Sandy Hamilton, Terri and husband Harold Hunt, and Toni and husband Max Slates. The couple have seven grand children and 10 great grandchildren.
Kaiser - 50th
Ed and Virginia Kaiser of Hoisington celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a Mass of Thanksgiving on Sept. 11, 2004. Ed Kaiser and the former Virginia Proksch were married on Sept. 14, 1954, in St. John's Catholic Church in Hoisington. Ed and Virginia are former owners of ED'S APCO in Hoisington and are now retired. The couple's children are Wayne and Delores Kaiser of Hoisington and Nona and Abe Prosser of Odin. They have three grandchildren, Amanda Prosser and Deandra and Derrick Kaiser. The couple, along with their children and grandchildren, will spend a weekend together to celebrate the occasion.
