Gotsche - 50th
Irv and Jeanne Gotsche celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 27, 2004. A reception in their honor was held at the Club at StoneRidge. Hosts for the reception were their four children: Pam Gabel of Lee Summit, Mo.; Kurt Gotsche of Wichita; Steve Gotsche and wife, Linda, of Great Bend; and Eric Gotsche and wife, Carol, of Topeka. The couple has five grandchildren: Alison, Meghan and Brad Gabel of Lee Summit, and Adam and Ryan Gotsche of Great Bend. Irv Gotsche and Jeanne Horsley were married Nov. 27, 1954, at the First Presbyterian Church in Salina. Mr. Gotsche served as a pilot in the United States Air Force for four years. He then worked as a petroleum engineer for 32 years, retiring in 1988 as district superintendent of National Cooperative Refinery Association. Mrs. Gotsche is a homemaker and teacher. She served as a substitute teacher for USD 428 for 10 years and taught at Barton County Community College for 14 years, retiring in 1989. She continued working for Kitchen Cupboard for 11 years. The couple now enjoys volunteering in various activities.
Troyer - 50th
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Troyer are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a card shower. The couple’s children: Brad Troyer, Jeff and Annette Troyer and Matt and Tammy Troyer, all of Ellinwood, celebrated with a family dinner on Nov. 21, 2004. Fred Troyer and Karen Shumway were married on Nov 22, 1954, in Pratt. The couple lived in Iuka after they were married, moving to Ellinwood in 1977. The couple has seven grandchildren and one deceased son, Randal Eugene Troyer. Mr. Troyer is the coowner of Ellinwood Packing Plant. Mrs. Troyer is a homemaker. Frenzl - 50th
Mr. and Mrs. William Frenzl of Great Bend will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2-5 p.m. on Nov. 27, 2004 at St. Patrick Parish Center in Great Bend. Mass will be at 5:30 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 4100 Broadway, Great Bend. Frenzl married the former Mary Ann Hickel on Nov. 10, 1954, at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, located north of Ellinwood. Bill retired in 1996 from Northern Gas Plant in Bushton after 32 years of service. Mary Ann is a homemaker. They are active members of the St. Patrick Catholic Church. They have seven children, 14 grandchildren and two step-grandchildren and are the parents of the late Brian Frenzl. Hosting the event are their children, Keith and Jan Frenzl of Great Bend and daughters, Lynzee and McKena; Bob and Annette Frenzl of Salina and daughters, Lacey and Whitney; Linda and Larry Stukey of Great Bend and children, Chris and Amy; Kathy and Major Gosser of Clay Center, Neb. and children, Curtis, Mandy, Phillip and Paige; Roy and Lori Frenzl of Murfreesboro, Tenn. and children, Jason, Amber, Jerod, Kolten and Keaton; and Connie and Brad Stanley of Bella Vista, Ark. and son, Mark.
