Marion and Hazel Kimber Grow were married on Jan. 20, 1935, at Great Bend. Curry - 50th
Dwight and LaVerne Curry of Lawerence celebrated their 50th anniversary Dec. 26, 2002. In celebration they took a trip with friends to Hilton Head, S.C., and also celebrated with their children and grandchildren. Curry and the former LaVerne were former residents of Barton County where they farmed for many years. They were former owners of Curry Homes Inc. in Great Bend. Their children are Myrna Schrepel of Hoisington and Kevin Curry of Baldwin. There grandchildren are Chadd, Todd, and Angela Schrepel of Hoisington. Curry is a trim carpenter in Lawerence and LaVerne works as associate cashier for Westlake Hardware in Lawerence.
Wilson - 50th
Doyle and Peggy Wilson of Macksville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 5 p.m. Jan. 12, 2003 at Macksville Christian Church. Wilson and the former Peggy Aves were married Jan. 3, 1953, at the home of the bride's parents in Macksville. They have lived their married life in Macksville farming and ranching. Their children and spouses are Denice and Allen Bevan, Sandra and Carey McAllister, and Shari and Jeff Parr, all of Macksville, and Linda and Steve Gotsche of Great Bend.
