Brooke Marie Stuewe and Carlos Herrera were united in marriage on May 29, 2004 at Heritage Chapel in Baytown, Texas.
The double ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Morris Brown.
The bride is the daughter of Ervan and Pam Stuewe of Alma, the granddaughter of Milton and Loma Stuewe of Alma, and Kenneth and Virginia Fischer of Great Bend.
The groom is the son of Jose and Irma Herrera of Baytown and the grandson of Maria Herrera of Eagle Pass, Texas, and Dario and Estella Rodriguez of Piedras Negras, Mexico.
Serving the bride as maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Morgan Stuewe.
Bridesmaids were Stephanie Dobbs, Elizabeth Wine, JaRee Underwood and Claudia Herrera, sister-in-law of the groom.
Flower girl was Angelica Torres, niece of the groom.
Best men were Mike Sellers Jr. and Doroteo Luna.
Groomsmen were Jose Herrera Jr., Juan Herrera Sr., brothers of the groom, and Velbert Whitfield.
The groom’s nephew, Juan Herrera Jr., was ring bearer.
Music was provided by Claudia McKinsey, organist, and soloist, Stephanie Dobbs, friends of the bride.
The bride is a graduate of Alma High School and a 2003 graduate of Friends University, Wichita, with a degree in communication.
She is employed by Woodforest National Bank of Highlands, Texas.
The groom is a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School of Baytown, and a 2003 graduate of Friends University with a degree in Spanish education.
He is employed as a teacher and coach at Lee High School in Baytown.
The couple resides in Baytown.
