Hoffman - 50th
Vic and Evelyn Hoffman of Hoisington will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Friends and family are invited to an open house at the Great Bend Holiday Inn Heritage Room from 7 to 9 p.m. on Aug. 30, 2003. Hoffman and the former Evelyn Johanning were married Sept. 10, 1953, at St. Joseph Church in Ellinwood. Their children and families include Alan and Kathy Hoffman and their children Eric, Kevin, Nathan and Ryan, all of Hoisington; Joan Myers, Benjamin and Paul, all of Salina; Wayne and Melanie Hoffman and their children Landon and Aliese, all of Red Cloud, Neb.; Leon Hoffman of Hoisington and Ann Hoffman of Wichita.
Plowman - 40th
George and Linda Plowman of Hays, formerly of Great Bend, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on Aug. 10, 2003. Plowman and the former Linda Floro were married on Aug. 10, 1963, at Lawrence. He was employed by Central Kansas Medical Center of Great Bend and is a pharmacist at Hays. She is employed by Cedarview Assisted Living of Hays. Their children and spouses are Kevin and Mary Plowman of Ellinwood, Patti and Mike Kasselman of Great Bend and Penny and Harold Hoffman of Larned. They have eight grandchildren.
Wilson - 50th
Bob and Evelyn Wilson of Great Bend will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary today (August 9, 2003) at Sylvan Park of Wilson Lake. There will be a hamburger and hot dog cook-out in the evening. Family and friends are invited to come by early and stay late. Hosts for the event will be their daughters, Connie Wildeman and Sandra Stevens and their families.
