Moeder - 50th
Rich and Jean Moeder of Great Bend will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Monday. Moeder and the former Geraldine Reif were married Nov. 10, 1953, at Holy Family Church in Odin. A family dinner is planned Thanksgiving weekend. Moeder is owner of Rich’s Electric of Great Bend. The couple have four children, Debbie Gerstner and Karen and Kirk Williams, all of Wichita, Cheri and Billy Hayes of New Fairfield, Conn., and Diane and Kevin Stalcup of Great Bend. The couple has eight grandchildren, Kyle Gerstner, Abbie Gerstner and Macee Gerstner, Lauren Williams and Kacey Williams, all of Wichita, and Kelli Stalcup, Matt Stalcup and Barry Stalcup, all of Great Bend. Schroeder - 50th
Robert L. and Joan C. Schroeder of Boulder, Colo., will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 21, 2003. Schroeder and the former Joan C. Conover were married Nov. 21, 1953, at First United Methodist Church in Great Bend. The couple have lived in Venezuela and currently reside in Boulder. Mr. Schroeder was employed in international business and she was with medical technology. The couple are former Great Bend residents. Both are graduates of Great Bend High School, in 1946 and 1948. They have one son, Kurt Schroeder of San Francisco, Calif.; one daughter, Lauren Carpenter of Lexington, Mass., and two grandchildren. Rugan - 40th
Donald and Lucinda Rugan of Claflin will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary today. Rugan and the former Lucinda Johnson were married Nov. 2, 1963, at Macksville Christian Church. Rugan is a self-employed farmer and she is a nurse for Golden Belt Home Health and Hospice. The couple has three children, Cynthia and Troy Odden of Hampton, Va., Robert and Cheryl Rugan of Great Bend and Richard and Janel Rugan of Claflin. They have eight grandchildren.
